You could use a product like the BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox, the problem with this type of intake is, that without a physical duct, it doesn't really work. One needs to look in the engine bay to see if there is space to route the ducting from the airduct to the airbox.

If im reading this right, then youre probably looking for RAM air scoops.
RPI do an easy installation.Macht schnell do a complicated version.
Remove snorkels and these fit behind grills.

Now,in as far as whether they work at high speeds - i dont know!
I have a drop in BMC and RAM air ducts just for the novelty cos when I was a lighty,I drilled my CLi airbox. Also search Gruppe M products

It can be done.............

Option 1 is to replicate what BMW did on the e46 M3 CSL bumper duct to the airbox.

Option 2
Take a ram tube (you can make use of radiused speaker port) and mount it behind the center lower grill of the bumper and feed this with LR silicone bends to the airbox. Make a hole in the box and couple it.

Option three

Similar principle to above but using the brake duct

I would go with option two as it is the most efficient. Ram effect occurs from 100 km/h and above

I dont think they will make a supercharger kit for the N52 when if someone wants boost they can just buy a 335i...

Well, this has always been the argument, but I did see that ESS has a development supercharger kit for the N52 on the E90post forum. But it's not going to be cheap at all! There are probably other supercharge options too - I saw a vid (I am sure it was posted here somewhere) just the other day of an E90 323i that was supercharged...

Arma have supercharged the N52, there are a few vids on Youtube of an E90 323 and a Z4 3.0 doing some sprints. But quality of their kits is an unknown....
Supercharger development for this engine is limited by costs as Moranor has pointed out, much easier (and prudent!) to get a 335 instead. Some will do this out of curiosity though, will be interesting to see as the N52 is generally seen as incapable of handling boost.
