Finding the latest stock software details

Hi All,

Anyone know what the latest stock version of the E90 N55 335i software is or where I can find details of version releases? I know how to see the version installed presently (or at least read on how to check it).

I don't expect it is as easy has having release notes for Windows OS updates but I would like to know the last version and what the subsequent versions changed.

Would like to make sure my car is on the latest version. Going to a dealership seems tedious if I don't have to just to check.

I also got this feeling my car is coded. How the lights come on when locking or unlocking seems little different and more abrupt than my E90 320i LCI was. It was unlock and fade on simultaneously vs unlock flash then immediate on.

After having the vehicle in at the dealer for a recall campaign today, and they fact theory also found some oil leaks that need attending to, send the software was unchanged and no update done. I imagine then that I have the latest software cause I was informed that when they run diagnostics on the vehicle they automatically update the software.

No, no they don't. A software update is done if there's a reason to, like a module is replaced or there's a specific instruction to do so. There's risks involved in doing a software update, so the general feeling (with which I agree) is if it ain't broke, don't mess with it.

That is a pity but I understand risk with updates. Didn't realize that vehicles would be so susceptible to them too.
