Hi Guys...
Sorry for the late reply here, first up, thanks ///Maniac for the initiative in getting this threads going, there has been chatter in the background but just not officially...
From last years TG Festival I can promise you that Durban becomes car crazy during this time, all sorts of exotics come out the woodwork to shine with their owners so you guys planned a great time to meet and greet...
As this thread is still full of ideas and suggestions a set date hasn't been decided on, lets leave the poll to run a few more days to have a good general consensus on a date with everyone, as is usual with weekends like this some people won't be able to make the agreed time due to other commitments... Lets try and accommodate the largest group possible.
Since this is more along a meet/greet/show/shine/visit Durban get together may I suggest that we use a format that worked well when we met in at Wilson's wharf Durban in Easter of this year...what was intended to be a small meet of about 10 cars more than doubled in numbers and it turned out to be a great nite out for all.

So if all goes well we could meet at Wilson's wharf at 6pm (or even convoy together from different points) on Friday eve for the get together and move on from there as the weather vibe dictates. This venue also has plenty safe parking with a little SAPS mobile unit stationed there, as well food, drinks and ablution facility's for the family's at large.. The beachfront area will probably have to be excluded as a lot of the roads going to the beachfront will be shut down to construct the racetrack for the TGF as well as a large number of holiday makers flooding the place.
In terms of the other goings on in Durban on the weekend, TGF starts at 9am on sat morning when gates open and closes at 8pm.. If the chaps want to meet on Saturday then it will be a post 8pm meet. On Sunday there is a single TGF show and it is expected to close around 6pm, as well it must be said there is a massive legal quarter mile drag event occurring in margate at the airstrip and will attract a huge crowd of petrol heads on the day and there has been a few fanatics indicating they will be attending/participating as well. Sunday might also be a difficult day to meet as itis Father's Day as well. Monday signifies the trip back home for most.
So there it is guys, take a pick and Durbs will do its best to host you..
