As for the F30 don't just buy.Take a decent test drive and pick one that is right.

That is some seriously good advice. The difference between a Sport Line, M-Sport and Lux line is as big as night and day.

Whew, thank goodness for that. Last thing I would want is to have my safety endangered for the sake of the 0.00002g weight saving that was gained from using plastic instead of aluminium.

All I need to do now it to figure out these DRL's


Also good that there is nothing really hot like a turbo close to this plastic part.

All cars have their problems. E46 had Lower control arm bushes, and power steering pump and diffs. E90 gearbox injectors and head. F30 seems to be only the steering issue(it seems this might have a relation to the humming). I ask please dont comment on a car you have not owned for you have No idea what you are talking about. I can say the F30 320d is one of the best cars I have driven in a long long time and i am thinking of keeping it for a long time even when I buy a newer model in a couple of years.

So if you don't own an F30 please focus on your own kind of car with their problems or success. Don't be jealous or afraid the F30 is better and accept change of going forward

Remember their is nothing wrong with the car it's just we are fanatics about our BMW and we want it perfect and we notice the slightest rattle or knock. Imagine me getting into an E30 and have to compare that to an F30. Ish the noise and road holding compared to an f30. Not to mention all the problems with such an old car I might have

Now that's not a very nice response. In my opinion its a valid concern.

Remember lots of people will only be able to buy these off plan. Having such a concern does not mean the person having it, should first own one to be concerned. it is not as if the guy is making the F30 out to be a bad car.

Jealousy makes U Nasty. F30 owners excuse the Non F30 owners on this thread because it was not intended for them or what BMW was the best or worse, but still they have to poke thier nose everywhere. Maybe they cant read the heading. Its like that idot always trying to impress others, they just dont know when to stop.(getting boring)

if you dont have a positive input/info or know how to fix a problem on an F30. Then keep it for yourself. If you want to diss the F30 then go make your own thread. Ill even help with a name "F30 are crap cars" or just as you wish

Now for some reason the children are Trying to diss everyone else's F30 but meanwhile they are driving an old piece of sh...... that he had to rebuild because it was sh... in the first place :rollsmile:

There are places in the forum where you can do your venting and kak praat or do I have to explain how to get there

E30 are crap. Who wants to drive a thing like that in today's modern age. Trying point F30's are crap is all that they trying to do. Tell me Mr poking nose what contribution have they made. They dont even know what an F30 looks like inside let alone know how to operate one. and let alone work on it. That's why I ask them about the DRL for its the easiest thing I could think off at that moment that they might know to operate. Ish how can see they have no idea because the DRL was intended is an divert and they took it hook line and sinker. Just showing how clever they realy are. Ag may be a Ford is much better than an E30

I also just pointing out the obvious. People making comments and having no idea what the car is actually like. Who started to say they are bad Cars??? Who went off the subject??? Now I am not allowed tomake a comment how crap an E30 is.

CANT you read the heading? How can your F30 have issues if you don't own one? How can you have it repaired if you don't own one? Maybe they need glasses and could not see F instead they saw E in front of 30

Please this thread is intended for F30 owners ONLY to share their experience in issues they have had or still have. Example like steering rack and humming. Most importantly what repairs were made and which ones were successful. In this way we could even assist dealers and fellow F30 fenatics in current issues you have if we find that a repair was successful.

Admin can you please copy the valid points from thread F30 issues and service and delete the rest. This will create a nice data base on fixes and unsolved issues.

True.. Mine is quickly approaching this.. Want to keep it as a daily - but we shall see.. :fencelook:

I really hope this does not happen. If you know someone this has happened to please share and maybe we can raise this with BMW. Most importantly what symptoms there were before braking point would help us to maybe avoid it before it happens. Every bit of info we can gather that an F30 owner has could help, no matter how small the repair or issue.

Slightly off topic sometimes when I turn the steering full to park I hear an eeeee noise when reversing is that anything to be concerned about. Happens once in a blue moon when car is in motion.

Your experience is highly valued as an F30 owner in creating issues and resolutions for them. I would have it checked out if I was you.Sounds like the steering does not realize its at its max stop. Maybe there are faults logged. Steering is very important to safety. If you decide to take it in to BMW please let us know about the results for future reference for fellow F30 owners.
