So i went to see my salesman to place an order on the M135i.... whilst i was there i took the 328i for drive!!
What an amazing car, feels light, almost as quick as my E90 335i..

Price, roughly the same depending on extras..

Quite a tough choice for me as i enjoy the big space (BUT dont need it) of the sedan!
The N20 fuel consumption is also amazing, both cars will have teh 8spd sport box which is amazingly quick!!!

The reviews of the M135i have been great, both great choices. After owning the 335i you might get bored of the 328i...just a thought

You comparing a 4 door sedan to the hottest hatch to grace this earth, with rear wheel drive and a 6 cylinder soundtrack. Never mind it being mated to one of the quickest and slickest 8 speed single clutch boxes around.

M135i is the CLEAR and DISTINCT choice out of the 2.
Its bigger then the outgoing 1 so you'll still have that sense of spaciousness and the Interior is superb.

I so want one of these but I will keep expenses low and get a coupe rather.
///M135i FTW.
And by the way, Eco-pro will see consumption from the N55 kept low, lower then your current 335i by quite a bit.
And Sports + will ruin it for you when you want it to!

Unless you plan on tuning the 328i I'd go for the M135i, it's a completely different kettle of fish

The F30 328i is a brilliant car through and through, but you would miss the added power from the x35.

Both cars have the latest interior changes, so it's really just down to power and space.

If you're keeping the 335i then the 135i would be the better choice. A 3 door car is awesome, along with that engine would make it more awesome however a decision on purchasing a car should not be made purely on the engine.

If you don't need a 4 door sedan, then the 135i is a great choice.

I believe that the 328i will still be a good car.

Both excellent cars. The decision should be based on need.

M135i 3 door all the way for me.
Driven the 328i as well but wont come close to the M135i

Went for a very spirited drive with the 8 speed 328 (there were no 335's to test), the sales guy kept on saying it's close (in terms of performance).

My personal take, there is no way in hell that 328 will come close to my stock 335, They have a route close to the dealership that is about 2 km long serious uphill, he recons I will get 200 kph at the top, tried it and true got to 200 easily

So yesterday did the same route in my stock 335, I hit 190 halfway up and 3/4 up tapped off at 225. If I take the run up as I did with the 328, I will hit the limiter at the top at 250

Depends what you want of the car...

If its just speed.. M135i.. if its a family sedan with the option for ticking a host of extras such as HUD etc then the 328i.. very different cars for very different purposes, straight line is only one part of a car.

Engine aside, I'm sure the M135i will handle better even though it's not a true M car. Does anyone know if it gets some special suspension treatment?

These cars are getting too big, the E46 was the perfect size for a 3er. I'm hoping that the 4door 2er rumours are true, would love a manual 'small' beema. M235i :inlove:

No matter how good the M135i drives, it still looks like someone pinched its bum, :roflol:
