We had the pleasure of playing with a pristine F10 535d today. Customer just wanted a simple stage 1 software upgrade, no hardware changed at all. We did manage to talk him into a Stage 3 XHP gearbox software upgrade, which he ended up loving. The shifts on the 8 speed box are already impressive, but with the XHP it just becomes that much better! Sharp, precise and noticeably harder in M mode specifically.
These 535d's are remarkable stock, but with a small upgrade the power is up 25% and the torque 13%, which is well within tolerance for the stock hardware.
Still a bit of finer tuning needed just to finish it off, but that will be done once the customer is back from his holiday. We will post the finished dyno graph thereafter.
