F10 520d Driveline Vibration

Good morning everyone, just looking for some different opinions on this.

I've got a 2013 520d F10 with 185xxx km on the clock.

I have been experiencing vibrations throughout the cabin (can narrow down to the rear of the car) when accelerating under load between 1400rpm - 2000rpm. I can feel as well as hear the vibration/humming, more so at 1600rpm. The vibration gets worse when the car is in a higher gear and more torque is applied.

I have recently replaced the following:
-Engine Mounts
-Transmission mounts
-Rear differential busing

I inspected the rear driveshaft guibo and found it to have some decent cracking, but I'm not 100% sure this is where the vibration is coming from.
The car has Stage 1 software, so more torque.

Rear tyres are currently on the bare minimum mark and need to be replaced - however I know for a fact that it is not related to tires at it is dependent on torque and rpm.

What are your opinions? Do you think replacing the guibo will fix this issue?

I have attached some photos of the guibo.

Thanks!

IMO, Replace the Guibo ASAP. if it breaks apart you will have far worse problems than vibrations/humming. Should have been done while the mountings where being attended to.

Yep it was pointed out to me whilst the other stuff was being done...just didn't want to wait for the part. So from the photos you think I should replace it ASAP?

I agree, get the guibo done as soon as possible. What is the condition of the front guibo? If you have any further driveline vibrations after replacing the guibo/s, read my "F10 520d vibrations" which i documented last year.

Hi yes I did read your thread too, very informative thanks. Not sure about the front guibo or centre bearing, haven't inspected it yet. I'm thinking of doing a DIY this weekend on the guibo

Replace that immediately.
IF you did a rear diff service recently and replaced the bushing (i am assuming the rear diff was inspected for mechanical wear and lubrication?).
If yes, and all was fine, I would have the transfer case checked if this is an xDrive f10 ( i dont know if they imported those variant?). I had a rear wheel drive F10.

If no, then Axle/Driveshaft Issues can be caused by a bent axle, a broken or worn driveshaft bearing, or a loose or worn driveshaft joint can cause vibrations and worsened under under load.

A worn diff bearing, loose diff housing bolts, or damaged diff gears can also cause this.

Lastly sort out the wheels, start off with the cheapest thing (probably inspections of visual components) to fix and keep going to see if you can fix.
