Just before my December break I decided it was again time for some preventative maintenance.
This time I decided its the DISA valve that will be changed.
Remove the old DISA (Noticed that the lower hex bolt is missing

)
Old one was not in that bad of condition , usual seal that is no longer really a seal and the flap is starting to come loose.
Replaced the DISA valve with an OEM BMW one (read: expensive AF) but dealer had no stock of the missing hex bolt.
Car definitely felt more responsive, especially in the lower end of the rev range.
Drove around for a couple of days and pulling away from a stop sign felt a suddenly loss in power.
Instantly my hart sank..
Immediately plugged my OBD dongle in and gave me two codes.
1. P0014 and, (Intake Cam Positioning sensor)
2. P0015. (Exhaust CPS)
Luckily I had ordered both the sensors with my DISA valve as the where next on my list of preventative work to be done.
Replaced both sensor, Intake side was a bit of a PITA, and cleared the codes.
Battery was disconnected when the sensors was being replaced.
Day after went for a drive, this time with my OBD dongle connected already.
Within 2km the car threw out a error, this time only P0015.
Car has a slight "miss", "uneasy" idle and feels like a 1.8i under 3900rpm and then suddenly a huge jump in power after 4000rpm.
Can it point to a VANOS issue?
Ps. I think she is unhappy with me because I want to sell her in the near future, need a N54/N55 in my life!.
