E92 Oil Temperature - What is normal?

Hi guys

Something odd happened. Ever since I got the E92, the oil temperature gauge has always sat around 90 degrees (around a quarter of the way).
After some hard driving, it would move a bit and then go back to 90 degrees when I chill out.

Two days ago, its started moving up to about 100 - 110 degrees.
I wasn't driving hard, I wasn't in traffic. This morning, it actually hit 120 degrees.

I dropped the car off at Tune Tech this morning. Shaun said there's nothing wrong, its normal. I insisted that they check anyway. I've driven the car hard, did Mafikeng to Fourways in less than 2 hours, never seen the oil temperature that high.

What's the normal temperature on your E92's?
Is this really normal?
Am I being paranoid?

hmm on the f30 120 degrees is normal when driven hard shopuld come down rather quick once you stop at a robot or something. I am thinking your intercooler could be the issue. Maybe it is dirty or on it's way out. Just guessing so don't take my advise as gospel.

HI

Its normal operating temps in peak hour traffic and hard driving to hit 120 deg.

Once you get some airflow over oil cooler then should be sitting at 110deg mark or less.
