I remember being lambasted a while back on multiple platforms when trying to speak sense among the cluttered BS but it would seem common sense has prevailed, the truth has come out

Regular 3's/4's can not and will never equate to the experience of piloting an M car, the TOTAL experience.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it.... 435i far better daily driver than m3....!! If you want a great car for everyday use the 4 series is miles better and faster in a straight line..! Lol.everytime u drive over a bump wIth an m car and your kidneys wanna jump out your mouth you wIll be sorry...m3 great for weekends and occasional track days but for everyday you want a nice balance between perf and comfort and the 4 series will give you that

Oh, settle down. The choice was between an e92 M3 and the 435i, not the e92 M3 versus the n54/n55 engine platform in it's entirety.

I love the N54 (and N55) platform, but I'd still have an M3 over a 435i because the 4-series does nothing for me visually or dynamically.

Let's not derail the thread with further "///M-cars uber alles" snobbery shall we? Horses for courses and all that :blab:

You'd be surprised at the M3's ride quality compared to a car with run-flats. Remember the M3 does not have run-flats.

Anyways you speak no lies there.. I agree on both counts, better DD and faster in a straight line but I ask are these really key factors in purchasing a 0.5/8 bar car? - cause there are cheaper alternatives that could do better in both comfort and in a straight line don't you think..

Anyways my statement still sticks "..will never equate to the experience of piloting an M.." ..and I'd like to add - Within the Brand

I could comfortably live with the bone jarring ride but alas different strokes..
