I was making an exaggerated case of 5th to 2nd, but say you are in a hurry, you downshift from 4th to 2nd at low revs, and miscalculate the anticipated revs, and you mistakenly overrev it to 9000 rpm. Cool my bad must have missed this.. Makes sense, I thought that you would blow the clutch or gearbox before you damaged the engine if you tried this?
