Missed this milestone by a km :eek:mgwaiting:

Glad to say that this car has been treating me well and ownership has been great. Car will be going in for new front discs this week.

Some random pics after giving the interior a quick clean - didn't have time to sort the outside out as yet. The rain has been putting me off :fencelook:

Bit of a boring update... again.

Capitalized on Supertech's parts special and got my front discs changed
yesterday. Purchased for a whopping R1600 :smilebounce:

Love how my mech's driveway 'bags' her :biglol:

Very nice wright up on this beauty she is a real gem, i especially like the Alpine white colour and the style 313 wheel combo.

How about some pre maintainence advise for a fellow 325i N52 owner. I have mine for just a little over 2 months now and read earlier in this post that you changed the water pump as a prevention. What millage would you recommend the water pump be changed at. Im currently sitting on 81000km's

Also do you maybe have the part number for the Bosch coil packs that you changed, reason being i would like to buy 1 new coil pack and keep it as an emergency spare should i ever need it.

It's been a while since I updated this thread.

As some of you know, I had advertised my car and then realized that it wasn't worth letting go as it is not worth the current market. No hate on the 335i - but an uneducated buyer would rather buy a f* 335i than a well taken cared for 325i and I wasn't willing to let my car go for less than R160k at the absolute least (some people say this was too high - some say it was too low, I say eff off...). I also couldn't deal with the process of a private sale and time wasters and deals that fall through so I retracted my sale simply because I got over it... So - until I can come across something bigger/higher (and diesel) that works out to be a good deal for me - the E92 stays :smilebounce:

Few updates to report on since the last one.

On the cosmetic side - I've debadged the car. Don't know why I didn't do this any sooner. I prefer the cleaner look of the rear now. I've also resprayed my steering trim - however the sheen on the satin black spray that I had used is disgusting and glossy so I will reattempt this and post up some pics once I'm happy with the end result.

Mechanically - the car has been awesome and has been behaving. I've replaced the tie end rods and rack ends (used Meyle) and the difference is like night and day. The left wheel had immense play which affected the steering and the entire cabin feel. Sent the car in for alignment (toe specifically) as it was way out after swapping out the parts. Nice and smooth again.

Was out and about with a few other friends for a drive and got some random sound clips:

Hi Bud,

Seemed to have missed this. I'm nearing 160k KMs and I'm still on the original waterpump - with no signs of anything wrong with it (however I've read that it can just pack up suddenly without warnings). I've seen some that have packed up on low KM cars and I know of some cars with > 250k KMs and still on the original part so I don't really know what to tell you on this one.

I don't know the exact part number but I got mine from Goldwagen (just give your VIN to them and they should sort you out.

These cars a solid and rarely give trouble. You will probably encounter ticking sounds upon cold starts. I am experiencing this. It's the hydraulic lifters and it does not have any negative consequences on the motor or ride and it's just a nuisance more than anything else.

Your oil filter housing, oil cooler, and valve cover gaskets will eventually leak. The oil cap itself can leak as well. Inexpensive fixes- with the VCG being the most costly here.

Vanos solenoids go as well (read this thread to you know how not to go about fixing it)

Service your car on time and have it scanned - you will be able to view and resolve any faults based on the codes that may come up.

Change your gearbox oil. ZF can do this if you have a ZF box. If you have a GM box - I believe you can use Dexron VI oil but get someone to confirm this first.

Thanks for the advice. I will keep a look out for all that you mentioned.

I appreaciate the help brother.

Hey bud today at 4pm were you around Ridge road and Springfield road in Morning side? I saw a white E92 with the style 313 wheels if that was you, your car is looking really sweet

Nope, that wasn't me. I see that car, around that area, quite often though. Does look sweet indeed!

It's always a bittersweet, ambivalent, ending when one has to part ways with their pride and joy.

Most of you would know how fond I was of this car - and what a great experience and privilege it was to have an E92 LCI (being my favourite shape of all time).

Some recent events:

She had a major service done and 313 loving was back on point after a quick refurb :inlove:

One final car wash, before heading to the dealership, in preparation to bid a respectable farewell :blueCry:

...And on to the final - quick - pics that I snapped up before taking "One Last Ride"...

Last week I said goodbye to this car and took delivery of my 'new' vehicle. The memories, journeys and adventures with this car will be something that will stay with me for a very long time :drama:

The drive to the dealership was a weird experience. Excitement, nervousness and a fickle-mind clouded my head. I held on to the steering wheel and gave the car a rev. The sound of the NA inline 6 coupled with some exhaust goodies. A sound that I could never get tired of....

A very suiting video that I came across. This guy knew what was up
[video=youtube]

One person's car is another person's scenery... If anyone comes across this car and is a potential buyer then contact me first. We'll have a chat around it.

Farewell Casper. It's been great!

Farewell Casper, even though I didn't know your name was Casper. It's a pity that we never actually got to have that TLGP. :dunnoanymore:

On to bigger things....literally.:smilebounce:

Really sad to see a beauty like this go. Could see she was a really well loved car that got all the attention it required.

Only now i found out her name was Casper

Hey bud just out of curiosity there is a E92 325i for sale at Autoniche looks alot like yours. Was just wondering if that was Casper. Looks so similar
