diy E90 LCI LED Angel Eye upgrade

Hi guys and ladies 🙌

So, I bought myself these LED 'upgrade' globes off Takealot and tried fitting them.
They work perfectly, but they just do not fit. If I try forcing them in, I'd either break the light or the globe itself.

I've searched till i'm blue in the face and all videos found shows how easy it is to fit them, so perhaps these globes housing might just be a bit too long.

After fitting the actual globe into the housing, i would then need to turn the globe clockwise to clip them in, but the below clip or whatever it is seems to be in the way:

Yeah, they match up perfectly. I triple check them.
Maybe I should try again this weekend.

I also struggled when I changed the DRL bulbs on my E90.
Try again this weekend and see if you come right, I think I might have even removed that red o-ring / gasket.

I feel your pain, i had the same issue.

The best bet is to get a set from @FiRi@Rennzport which will be best (light up both rings and no errors) or you can try get and H8 led which will throw errors though.

Wrong globe you purchased. That's why it was cheap.

We sell the correct globes for angel eyes. Pricing ranges from R1000 to R1300 depending on model. All globes are error free with canbus as well.

That particular one you have in your pic doesn't look to be a canbus type

+1 on the Rennzport bulbs, bought a set for my E90 and it fit perfectly.

I can safely say now that I give up. I tried my best this weekend.
Let's see if Takealot will refund me, then i need to get my @ss to Rennzport..
