F25 X3 LCI Angel Eye going yellow

Hi Guys,

I have an F25 LCI X3 (2014) and I've noticed that one angel eye is turning yellow. Reading threads that mention the LED module might be gone, but to replace it means cutting up the back of the headlight etc.

Is there any other way to get this repaired?

My rear door open warning is also coming on, even though the doors closed tight, some threads online say this could be related - not sure if its true or not but these gremlins are bugging me.

Would appreciate any assistance on this.

I had one ring go out and replacement was very expensive! Then found something on Takealot
However turns out the ring part was burnt, and therefore the light wasn't passing through so replacing the LED didn't work.

So I recall seeing a video about this. And as @ecKARd stated, the Halo ring burns where the LED shines against it. Yours is burnt slightly, causing the yellow hue.

Apparently the fix is to remove the Angel Eye LED module. And sand/dremel/grind the burnt flat surface away (slightly) so that the lights shines against clear plastic again. It should restore the white colour
