E90 dashboard rattle

I have noticed a rattle under the dashboard when the vehicle is accelerating. It goes away when the car is doing over 2000rpm. Has anyone had a similar problem before? I am hoping it is covered under the motor plan.

Does it sound like it's coming from the centre vent?
If yes then it's actually coming from under the bonnets it's those plastic covers above the stabilizer bar.
Just tighten them.

It does sound like its coming from the center of the dash. I will tighten the covers and see if it goes away.

I picked up an annoying rattle on my E60 and assumed that it was somewhere on the dash but it turned out to be the buttons on the arm that toggles the OBC. Yeah - absurd!!

My car had that issue. It sounded like something was loose in the dash .This started after the a service.Took it back and they told me its common on the e90 for those pannels. They normally put velcro tape on the stabalizer bar to prevent the rattle.

If the tightening doesn't work I'll get the dealer to sort it out. I want them to look over the reverse parking sensors as well. I am not sure if they are picking up enough. Will test it this afternoon.

My 330i has a slight rattle from the dashboard but more from around the cluster or steering wheel area. The passenger seat has something that rattles lightly when nobody is sitting there, and at the rear there is also something that rattles a bit - don't have roller-blinds so not that which is usually the case. Apparently there is an issue with E90 door seal rubbers that can also cause rattles.

For the PDC, easiest is to have someone walk around behind the car while it is active and see if it is able to sense the presence consistently from various distances between from less than a ruler's distance away from the bumper to say 1.5 metres.

I removed the engine covers and while the car was checked at BMW, they didn't replace the top cover properly and two of the slats weren't in their proper holes. After I replaced the covers, she is running dead silent again. Like a good diesel should.
