I agree with that the 325i does feel a bit "lazier" at the reef but i think this is only the case low down. Once the 325 is moving, its a different ball game. The 320d can seem faster becos of the turbo and you actually feel the boost whereas the 325 is just so smooth and power is so linear that it feels like its going slower. You need to rev the straight 6 and be in the power band whereas the 320d makes torque low down so it easier to go 'faster'.
I have driven both and they are both amazing cars.
At the reef at low speeds 320d > 325
