E90 325i vs E90 320d

I agree with that the 325i does feel a bit "lazier" at the reef but i think this is only the case low down. Once the 325 is moving, its a different ball game. The 320d can seem faster becos of the turbo and you actually feel the boost whereas the 325 is just so smooth and power is so linear that it feels like its going slower. You need to rev the straight 6 and be in the power band whereas the 320d makes torque low down so it easier to go 'faster'.
I have driven both and they are both amazing cars.

At the reef at low speeds 320d > 325
At the reef at higher speeds 325 > 320d

At the coast 325 all the way.

Where about you located? We can set a date and place, dont think this saturday will work, must check with the family. So perhaps Sunday.

Well that was not a test against the previous one, he aftually pissed me off driving like a tool, so I ran over him  his car must have been sick :tease:

Its all for fun and science.

I think the 320d is going to run out of revs in a top end race and the 325 will start pull it in.

C'mon guys - curious to see. Standard E90 325i vs standard E90 320d.

100% correct - low down power is better for general driving, but seeing that I have had both - still curious to see which is faster.

Would be interesting to know. Some guy in a 320d stayed on my rear end yesterday and I couldn't get away. Hate tailgaters.

Would also like to see. My E46 330d is slightly quicker than the E46 330i and the E90 325i. The E90 320d shouldn't much slower, if at all up here.
