e90 320i 2006 - Not picking up IBUS Bluetooth Module

Hi Guys

My ride's IBUS Bluetooth Module may have packed up. It's just recently come back from my local mech, so I have the suspicion that maybe the unit is still ok and it's just not getting power..

I know exactly where to find the module, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the other end of the connection ends up and how I can check if it's toughtly plugged (to it's power source) because I suspect they may have disconnected at the source while they were performing a valve stem seal kit replacement.

It just seems too much of a co-insidence that it's stopped working straight after it came back from them.. I know they didn't touch the unit because I used the service lock for the boot

Would really appreciate any assistance :fencelook:

Thanks

Not really of help here, but speaking subject to correction, the e90 does not have I-BUS. It was phased out at the end of the e46.

I assume you possibly talking about the MULF module under your boot mat? Best option is to test right there for power using a multimeter instead of digging up the other side of the cable somewhere else in the car.

Thanks Yusuf, you may be right there (I've amended the subject line)
Yes I am talking about the bluetooth device under the boot matt. I don't have a multimeter, do you know which would be the cheapest place to take my car to for a multimeter test? I'm guessing Battery Center would have or Super Quick or simular?

What I would do is buy a multimeter. You can get a cheap one for like r100 at makro. Its quite simple to use
