just got notified that I will have to wait a week or 2 as the Turbo now has to come from Germany. Good news is that they are going to help with a loan car

thanx osiris :thumbs: ..and sorry for the bad news nightstalker ..but trust me, loan cars can be fun to drive, esp if its the new F30 (even the 320i is turboed unlike the E90).. :rollsmile: ..and ul still be gettin a new turbo ..maybe theres a backorder on the turbo
..I however don't trust BM's Germany story at times..the dealers told me Im getting a new gearbox from Germany..so I phoned ZF myself to ask, turned out they sent my original box to ZF SA for a recondition and I got my original box back reconditioned..lol

Just a little update, they gave me a new 118 urban to drive until my car is sorted.
I seriously like this car but I'll rather have the 120d sould I buy one.

:rollsmile: performance and fuel efficient, nothing not to like. Already decided that my next car in +- 2years will either be a F30 320d sport or if it's possible 330d E90 LCI or F30

so do I bud. But this F20 ( I think that's what they call them now) is so refined now and so comfy , The 3 settings next to the gear selector are also fun to play with ( Eco Pro, Comfort and Sport). I thought the gearbox on my car was smooth but damn they've done something to this one that makes it super smooth you literally can't feel the car shift gears when you don't drive like you stole it.

2 weeks later and got a call yesterday to say that they can't open the car with my key and I need to take my spare to them ( very weird as all the keys has skeleton keys inside).

Best news was this morning, I'm picking her up this afternoon. Only the test drive and wash to do.

BMW has had your car for 2 weeks to only tell you now that they cant open the thing???? WTF they been doing up till now?? :thinking: or am I missing something?

well they got it open to take the turbo out but then it stood for about 2 weeks and then it stopped working ( I have a sneaky suspicion they lost the key)
