Hi Guys,

i have a problem with my 320d, it just switched off and refuses to start, the car swings when you press the start button but thats it. There are a few warning lights that came up on the dash after it cut out but nothing before that.

Someone told me that the DMI and key or control box needs to be realigned. Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rash

were you driving when it switched off by itself or it just won't start?
do you have fuel, or did you run the car dry by any chance...?

check your battery, you may need a boost. Use a multi meter to check the voltage

That wierd fuse box on top of the battery, line feeding in the DDE went poof.

Spliced a fuse in line, and took it straight to the battery and vroom :)

The pyrotechnic fuse that disconnects the battery in case of an accident?

No.

After that it has a fuse distribution bank, including 1 main fuse, and 3 or 4 20a fuses in line. Thats where the problem was.

Its all self contained in one unit with the safety fuse..
