I have been quoted by GW R2800 for the Febi front Disks and pads.
Just wanted to find out if this is decent quality disks and pads? Any guys used it and comments?
Thanks

I would suggest you contact Deago from Auto Bavaria Midrand and Neo from Imcomex for other options.. Textar, Jurid and TRW are OEM.

A customer from here brought me an e92 325i and febi discs to fit a few weeks ago, they were decent quality and are coated on the non contact surfaces so they don’t rust and corrode over time. Absolutely nothing wrong with them, if it’s what you can get at the time that u need your brakes done, they will work fine . Same goes for the pads.

On a side note I’ve been told before that I shouldn’t use febi products based on other people’s experience but I personally have fitted loads of febi items over the last few years to both my own cars and customers without having issues. My z4 has a febi guibo and center bearing for 3 years now and I’ve tracked it and done hill climb and stuff and it doesn’t even have a single crack on it when I did the inspection 2 weeks ago.
Below is a pic the OEM bmw guibo and Febi guibo that I fitted in both my M coupe and PLV’s M roadster.
It’s the same thing , just the bmw stamp and part number has been rubbed off.

So until I have my own bad experience with febi products , I still use them where needed.
Not saying that everyone must now and go fit febi stuff on their cars , but that’s just how I see it, it’s a decent aftermarket replacement part.

AshG108 said:I used Febi products on my Merc, also bought because of the price they came in at.
What I noticed were that the brakes pads wore out quick, stopping ability is much less however less brake dust. They also started screeching after a while...so next brake change i did the Febi disc and pads together and got vented and slotted discs.
End result is the same on the pads...eventually sent the car to merc and got the OEM pads fitted. The feedback from merc was that the discs were fine and had no issues although the pads were questionable cause the screeching was from the harder compound that they are made of.
So the Febi disc together with the OEM brake pad was a great combo...the car stopped tons better than with the OEM discs and pads.
I would say go check the price with Deago from ABM, I got quoted R1100 price difference from normal OEM price which was stellar. At the discounts we get from ABM, its very difficult to say no to using OEM.
Bite the bullet a bit harder and ge the OEM set up...
