E82 Vanos Solenoid

Been to the stealers to check error coded and get a quote for service, and the print out shows DTC 2A87 error code - DME fault code for Vanos. Is this a easy DIY to change the solenoid and does anyone know approx cost of solenoid.

DIY replacement is pretty easy to do. Before you replace try remove both solenoids and clean the ports with carb cleaner/compressed air, allow them to dry and reinstall. If the code comes back shortly thereafter a replacement is probably needed.
