E60 Radiator hose/part

So after driving the car I parked it but as I walked away I heard a hissing sound coming from the engine bay.

Anyway I popped the bonnet open and upon closer inspection, I noticed one of the plastic tubes leading into a radiator hose had a minor tear and pressurized water was leaking. I pressed my finger on it to take a closer look and ended completely breaking this pipe :blueCry::dunnoanymore::hammerhead:

Anyone know if I can get this easily or are BMW gonna tell to buy a whole new radiator unit?

I taped it up temporarily but not driving it.

Why BMW would use a flimsy piece in the cooling system still amazes me. Depending on the length, I would replace the plastic piece with an appropriate rubber pipe and join them up.

I see that bmw has those use once clamps on there, they can be replaced with normal clamps.

Hi,

It would require the whole pipe if memory serves me correctly (It runs along the top of the radiator). If it is the straight plastic part, i have seen were people replace t with a suitable metal pipe.

If you like you can PM me your vin and i can get you a price on Thursday (out of the office tomorrow).

Cheers.
