From my research lci is 07 and up

True, LCI was done in stages;

The later models had the final updates including new Idrive

Not sure if yours has the newer transmission

For R30k I say buy it. What else can you get for that price? And even then it will need work. Spend R20k as Benji suggested and enjoy the car. Keep a fund aside for when things go wrong and needs maintenance as you would with any car in that price bracket.

Get the body straight and wrap the car to save on a full respray. Do basic maintenance and enjoy the car for what it is.

Out of interests sake, how much would you estimate a full body wrap to cost?

It runs and drives perfectly the only issues are bodywork

Then sort out the body work and enjoy it for what it is. If it runs and drives perfectly and everything works, it won't explode tomorrow.
