e46 suspension revamp

Hi Guys,

I am going to replace the lower control arms and tie rod ends this weekend. I replaced the lower control arm bushes about 6 months ago. Is there an easy to remove the bushes from the old arms and reuse them?

Also, are febi pads decent?

What bushes are you fitting, I dont know if you can buy rubber bushes without the ball joint? If you havent bought already contact moranor on the forum and he will be able to get you some quality Meyle HD bushes. Or powerflex if thats the route you want to take.

Febi pads are alright. I would get ATE.

that's just it. Planning to only do the control arms. The bushes were replaced a few months back with OEM parts. I would like to get them off without damaging them and use them on the new arms. But I remember taking them off was a mission. Want to find out if there is an easier / safer way

chances of damaging the bushes are high... get a 3 jaw puller... least with the even force you have more chance of getting them off without damage...

spray lots of Q20/WD40 and let it soak in between the arm and the bush before pulling

I can provide Meyle arms if you dont already have them :)
