E46 Sunroof problem

Hi, i have a problem with the glass sunroof of my car in that it will tilt but not up to maximum. Goes about 70% and then stops. Have tried to reset it by keeping the button in for a while but am not sure if that is the procedure. Any one with experience please help! Thanks.

I had a similiar problem but mine wouldnt slide into the roof....some Q20 did the trick..maybe theres some dust on the track

WHATEVER YOU DON'T LET THE MOTOR GRIND!! As soon as it starts to do that you will wear the gear on the sunroof motor and they are 6500 bucks from BMW.

If the q20 or silicon spray does not work pm me then I will try to help you on how to solve the problem.

Mine got stuck last year. It is easy to fix just a hell of a lot work to get to the sunroof.

Must must do the DIY I hav just been lazy :flyfun:
