Moranor what tools are required for the water pump and viscous swop. Any links to DIY's for the water pump, viscous and power steering pump change?

ill see if i can find the one i used for the water pump now...

water pump

there is a list of tools on this one you should not need different ones for the steering pump... if you have a full socket set and some Torx sockets you will be set :rollsmile:

i forgot you have the other fan... this will be a problem you need special tools for this...

Trying to borrow one but no luck so far. I found a link that shows you how to make one so it looks like thats my best bet.

Ok, managed to get the job done. Had to fabricate the tool. Took more time making the tool than changing the viscous. Good news was that it was the viscous and not the water pump. Car is back on the road and running well. Next week, plan to tackle the power steering pump after that control arms and new shocks. Will do tappet cover gasket last.

let me know what price you get on the tappet cover gasket i need to do mine too...

No sweat.....if I recall properly the tappet cover gasket set if about R500 from BMW.
