Is that not a bit harsh to spend on ae's?
Not really as they weren't available locally at that time. Only the ccfl ones.
So here you go oueryemchi:
Excuse the dirty car and the HID kit. Still need to mount that under the headlights properly.
First picture you will see in the red circle is the main component. That handles everything. There is a OEM nut there under the rubber as in the pic that you just undo and mount the Control Unit. The Green circle is the fuse. The red wire with the red arrows is the power supply. Just lift the cap with the "+" and undo the nut. Slot the wire in and do up the nut. PLEASE REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
The purple arrow pointing right shows the wires leading to the left front AEs and the purple arrow pointing left to the front right AEs and there will be a yellow wire going down to splice into the footwell light if you want the "unlock activate AEs" function.
Another pic showing the power cable better.
The Yellow wire that goes into the cabin to splice into the footwell light. If anyone wants to attempt this PLEASE PM me. Its very tricky and you have to get it through behind the acceleration pedal and remove a few things.
PS my cap for the diagnostic port was taken after the last Diagnostic test and not replaced. I will try and find a replacement.
The purple arrow shows the wire heading towards the headlight. The purple circle shows where the wire from the Control Unit and the wires from the AEs plug into each other.
Other side.
Theres a tube you just clip to open to feed the wires over the engine and to protect them.
Purple arrows show where the wires have gone over the engine and on down the side to the front left light. The Blue arrow shows the white wire that splices into the red, yellow and white wire of the cars ECU. This allows the lights to switch on when the key is in ignition position 2.
Lights on at dusk.
Lights on during day.
Any questions don't hesitate to ask.
And during the day with Xenons on
