E46 Mtech 1 Front bumper Plus Spots

my 330i individual was basically written off because of the cost of the Mtech2 bumper

Hi. I'm new at this so please be patient with me. I have a 2003 e46 320d facelift and about 4 days ago the crankshaft summer pulley broke and now I'm looking to replace it. The problem is I know someone with a preface engine and he is willing to me the pulley but I'm not sure if they are the same. He says the engines are the same but I just need to make sure, please help.

Go onto www.etkbmw.com


enter in your last 7 digits of your Vin and go to the ENGINE option and look for the pully.

There is an option to view compatible models... Check if his model is there
but im sure you will be ok

i want to transfer the following onto the Wagon:

* Engine
* Control Arms
* Msport springs
* Bumper
* Side skirts

And since it has a Performance exhaust, my transfer that too....

OK lets not count the chickens before they hatch
Will update later and will document this on my Build Thread

Hopefully I get the car by tomorrow evening ..
Will remove the Engine, gearbox, Engine Loom, ECU, EWS, ignition barrel, Keybarrel

Then set this aside...

Sunday i want to remove the Exhaust, Springs, Interior..

Next friday will pull the engine, gearbox, Engine Loom, ECU, EWS, ignition barrel, Keybarrel from the Wagon
Saturday is to install The 330's engine etc

Sunday would be to install the springs, Exhaust and interior

Then i can start prepping the bumper, skirts and rest of the body for Fresh paint

Thats IF i get the car tomorrow.

Would like to Thank the following people for their assistance in getting this monster:

Straight Six ( Andile ) - For putting in the good word

Xtreme Towing ( Reagan 084 700 9131) - For coming out to get the car out of the yard with his bakkie, His experience got this part of the job done in 15min and his care caused Zero damage to the car and pricing?? for a Tow truck bakkie THEY THE BEST!!!

Elite Towing ( Rashied 076 117 5890 /Uncle ROby ) - Been using you guys for some time now and as always, IMPRESSED!!! special thanks to uncle Roby for getting the car to my home and maneuvering his truck into my drive and dropping the car exactly where i want. for a flat bed, THEY ARE THE BEST!

Mostly, to the Owner, Neville - who was very accommodating and and thorough in doing the Deal. His family too who was all very friendly for the Multiple times i was there.

After getting the car home, And inspecting it, it does not look as bad as one would seem. Tearing into it the weekend to check the extent of the damage. Will do some calculations and See if its worth Salvaging..

Lol... Thanks bud. Best of both worlds. Pricing of a 330i Msport are out of my reach BUt scoring this car, and having a Wagon, I can have my cake and eat it. lol

I for one think it was a good score actually. You paid what you would have paid for the engine alone almost, then got all the other stuff with it. But interested to see whether you think its worth salvaging.

He got more than a bargain there...motor has FSH last time it was driven to work it had 161kms......

Still remember its music (Exhaust note) in the underground parking:smilebounce:

Will get the damaged parts off. Suspension, fenders etc.

Will be checking for tears in the chasis and then Drawing up a parts list to see the cost involved..

I had a parts car from when i repaired the Wagon, and i had the COMPLETE rear subframe, It was in the way so i gave it to the guy who cleans the yard to take for scrap :blueCry:

But yes, not sure if the 318 and 330 Subframes are the same though... so Maybe i wud not have been able to use it. Driver side Strut i sold from the parts car for R1200 :hammerhead:

paint and body im not too worried about.

Hooray for interior swap! Grab the anthracite roof lining and all the trimmings while you at it. Makes a world of difference.
