just thought i would share with you all what i had to deal with this friday morning :=):
I started my car and i felt some unusual vibration, so i turned off the radio and my car did not sound right, i revved it and the car sounded like a petrol lawnmower with some very serious vibration. i drove the car a bit and it was extremely low on power.
so me being very stressed out about this i drove straight to my mechanics place worried that this problem is gonna cost an arm and a leg to resolve.
we connected up the computer and it was reading a misfire with a "multiple ignition coil failure" but upon reading the errors it was only showing ignition coil #1 failure.
turns out this is a common problem with the e46? anyway i had the part replaced with a new bosch part for only R600, and it took 5 minutes to have it replaced.
