The correct solution to this problem is reinforce plates.I have imported them from the USA and have them for sale. PM me if you interested.will post pics of the kit when my car is done. It's the best thing to do as the E36 and E46 have this sickness.:thumbs:

Not on hand but i can get it for you.Its alot different from the e46.

dont be fooled there is no way to get rid of lag the only thing you can do is make is as small as possible, but it will always be there... its just the way a turbo works...

You've done a great Job so Far. Must agree with the majority of the posts.. Its a big job. and the real work comes with putting her back together again.

So the shell fits on the frame,now just to do mounting points and final attach her to frame and off she goes to panel shop.:joy::bravo:

thanks very much for that info, I will keep that in mind , however the car has since been sold :(

M3M5, if they do recommend using a sandblast process... dont

The sand actually heats up the metal and distorts panels, but if they are going to media blast :)
