sup people . anyone know what it will cost to sort out an engine knock ?

or cost on a rebuild ?

thinking about purchasing a M but has some engine issues hense the question

all help is appreciated .

It currently has a bearing knock?

Anything from R15k to R60k labour excluded and maybe some secondhand parts

Roughly yes with the variance being the current exchange rate.
Also with the bearings one would need to order 4 half shells of differing size so as to test for the max clearance between crank journal and bearing

1.Your are brave.
2. Rather buy a clean no stories car
3. A budget on an s54 is there to be shattered

Crash's car was well into a six figure build.

If you do decide to do it order the high compression pistons and the cylinder head gasket from them as well.

I am not sure what the bearing cost will be for the 4 half shells.
One would need to communicate with VAC to get a price.

The rotating assembly would need to be dynamically balanced so have a new flywheel and pressure plate available.
