Beware of cheap ebay headers, some of them work pretty well but others do not, as in terms of the dimensions, welding and collector construction the quality control is just not that good, (unsurprising at $99 for a set of headers). You will also have to consider that most will have been made for LHD cars and will most probably not fit RHD cars. Personally with headers I would stick to OEM or a recognized local manufacturer.

Best value for money would be to swap with M52 headers, will fit straight on, you will just have to have two pipes made to connect the headers to the existing exhaust as the headers are a bit shorter than the standard ones.

I will still rather stick to ebay headers, if you follow guides on the net and buy the right one, you dont need to make any mods to it.

Do as you wish, but i prefer to pay a bit more and i know i get a quality product.

Edit: if you want the best value for money performance upgrade for a 330i change the diff to a 3.38 from the auto.

Sorry man, didn't mean anything bad from my reply, just meant i know everything on there isn't legit, but some sellers are really true to their word, before buying that item i would make sure first that he has a 100% track record with selling headers.

I am planning the dif

No worries :=):

I just mention local stuff, not because I think the local guys do things better, but only if you run into issues the manufacturer is close by.
Something I didn't consider

Why not just get TNT headers here locally. Proven to work and not expensive

Do you know who sells this? And what the price on them would be, do you know if wildcat make headers for 330i or 330ci (Thinking of buying a ci now)

testing will have to be done :) but Im very happy with the performance and sound of my exhaust... mine is a 1 piece system though If we develop one to sell it will be in 3 pieces so we can ship it easily...

can definitely guarantee it will sound awesome  power gains we will have to see...

i went and got a set of 328i catless headers this morning with the o2 sensor bungs on it, kinda gave up on the TNT headers for a couple of reasons, firstly the price, R1570 for tnt vs R500 for bmw oem catless headers, while it is keen compared to other aftermarket headers around, it isnt going to miraculously add 5hp with the rest of the exhaust being stock, seondly cost of fitment of the headers, i been quoted at the cheapest R1500 to R2500 to install them.. thirdly, my 330i is a daily drive, i do between 100-200km per day in it, i love the way it sounds now and its not exactly sluggish at the coast either.. all i want to achieve is to remove the cats so for my aim i think i am going down the right route...

btw, i used the pic gizmo posted a while ago to identify they were the correct ones that would fit the car..

Found the pic...

The left is the TNT one, the middle the cat-less headers and the right is the original headers with cats...

lol you cant compare scrapyard prices with new items :) but i agree if you just want to decat the scrapyard is the way to go

If you doing a full system then aftermarket makes more sense...

Thanks so much guys, you have been a great help.

Where will i be able to order the headers from? Or where in gauteng?

Does the 330i and ci take the same headers?

I had a chat with Dave today... i can get you the headers at the same price :) and looks like we will be developing an e46 exhaust together...

So if you want to add them to your order I can send them up for you no problem

PS yes the Ci has the same headers

So do the TNT branches bolt straight in, with the sensors, no computer problems?

I'm also interested to see some stats on different exhaust configurations while you guys are testing. Will be interesting to see where power is gained and lost and what the best configuration gives the best overall gain for you you guys.
