make sure your tire pressures are right... if that does not fix it you may need to clean your sensors :)

I had this problem about 4 years ago on my e46, and I believe it may be your battery getting ready to die. I believe it may be the battery because 3 weeks ago, the light came on again, and less than a week later, the battery died. So on 2 separate accounts over 4 years, the same results were seen. The DSC light coming on a few weeks before total battery death. On both occasions, I replaced the battery and the problem was solved.

That being said, I would obviously suggest getting your battery checked.

My car is doing the same. The only thing is when the road is not even the car wants to compensate and straighten itself. When i restart the car the light goes out. I need to pass 10MPH in order for the light to come on. Any suggestions???? My battery has never failed me yet so my next step is to clean the wheel sensors.

1st thing to check it tire pressure because the wrong pressure will give you DSC the wrong info wot work with...

+1

also remember there is a lot of sensors involved with DSC , recently had my e46 steering angle sensor give up the ghost.. if wheel pressure ,cleaning wheel sensors does not help, i would sugest having the error codes read, the DSC is quite a involved system..

All my tire pressure is ok. I will try to clean the wheel sensors first then let you know my findings.

pressure sensors and becareful its not the steering angle sensor all the time take the car for a wheel alignment also........

I cleaned the sensors which were filthy. I took the car for a short spin but the light came back on after passing 10MPH. I do feel a slight difference though in the steering. Ill see how it feels tomorrow going to work on a longer drive.

i had an issue because im running a higher profile at the back... what this does is tell the car that the rear wheels are spinning slower than they really are which is great because now i get more rope before the dsc kicks in...

but every now and then the dsc light would stay on... what i now no is pump the front tires up 0.10 bar more than they should be and the problem is gone and i still have more rope to play with

play around with the tire pressures and see if that solves your problem...

I feel the car a lot better. But i still feel like im fighting the steering wheel to keep it straight when im on uneven pavement. My rear tires are a larger profile than my fronts. I have 235/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. I do need an alignment and im thinking about changing all the tires to match in thickness.

pump the front up 0.1 bar over factory specs and see if that fixes it  your profile difference is way more than mine so you might have to add more air to than that to fix the problem...
