the Q is R3000 and the Q+ R3500 fitted and mapped!
Q+ will work on all other cars where Q does just have some more neat features and ports for turbo applications!

No issues with the sensors as such, its just important that the workshop replace the sensors in the same position as when they were removed:

Since the manifold is split into 2 banks of 3 cylinders each, the correct sensor has to read the mixture for its set of 3 cylinders. I had a slight issue in that the sensors were replaced the wrong way around. Thus, with the sensors fitted incorrectly, the sensor reading for cylinders 1, 2 and 3 gets, say a too rich mixture reading and thus kept wanting to lean out the mixture. But, because sensor 123 was fitted to the exit side of cylinders 4,5 and 6, it then leaned out cylinders 4, 5 and 6 in stead of 1, 2 and 3. Meanwhile, sensor 456, fitted to cylinders 1, 2 and 3 kept getting a too lean reading from cylinders 1, 2 and 3 it was fitted to, thus changing the mixture, making the mixture for cylinders 1, 2 and 3 richer. Thus I ended up with 3 cylinders being hopelessly overfueled and the other 3 having virtually no fuel at all! So I was running on 3 cylinders for a while until I got it sorted out.

Don't know if I'm making any sense to anybody, but anyway, its VERY IMPORTANT to pair the correct sensor with the correct manifold!

Hi Everyone

Had the 4 cats removed and the car is definitely more responsive! Not a helluva lot, but definitely better. I had a Viper branch fitted in place of the standard manifold and replaced the secondary cats with stainless steel resonators from Powerflow. Also, I plugged the vacuum pipe supplying the little disc in the one exhaust outlet with a bolt (M5 or M6 thread, can't quite remember the size), so both exhausts are now open. I did the same on my E36 328i a few years ago.

The car is a little louder, but, importantly, at highway cruising speeds it is not intrusive. One of my favourite things, though, is driving along at town speeds with the window down - its got a really nice smooth and deep burble.

Also, BTW, regarding the oil use as I mentioned in one of the previous replies, it seems the oil consumption has now settled at around the halfway mark on the dipstick...I kept topping it up and the car seems to keep using oil intil it reaches the dipstick halfway mark. Perhaps only an incorrect length dipstick???

Do it dude. You won't be sorry. The 330i averages between 113 and 117 wkw. Mine pushed 121wkw before the UniQ. So there is definitely a gain from the exhaust.
