Hey Clutch. Good luck on the re-build. I just rebuilt my 328 a month ago coz the guy I bought the car from just took no pride in maintaining the motor. I replaced everything including the block.

Damn, was this caused from the infamous oil pump issue? I am going to order the upgrade kit from vac soon. at least there were no more human/animal remains found. Looking forward to the updates.

Best of luck, it seems you got allot of work a head

Ye, I'm not quite sure where the water came from cause it doesn't seem to be coolant, it came out white and clear and the coolant was dark green ... and the oil came out very clean ... so I'm a bit confused about it. The oil and water did not mix at all ... beyond strange ....

pics coming soon :)

Usually if there is water in the oil you won't see water and oil as two different part but instead just milky (looking) oil as far as I now.

How long did the car stand without a head? Is it possible that it is rain water or something like that?

@Sankekur - I think if you let the car stand for long enough the water and oil will separate again...

nah, I don't think water got in from rain ..

UPDATE, ok. so today we took everything off the engine and disconnected all the anciliaries and sensors, the gearbox, prop, exhaust is off...
An engine crane is arriving tommorow morning, and then we can finally take the engine out and dis-assemble it, then I will have lots of pictures to post for everyone to see ...
