hallo guys I have an E46 330i which has been parked for 2 straight months, it has been down because the lower radiator pipe and the expansion tank mounting were broken , so I'm about to replace those next week and yesterday another guy told me that your car might claot oil, tell me guys is there any danger on not starting the car for two months and what do I need to do before I start it

Battery maybe be a little low.......... after start-up give it 3-5 minutes to idle, then take it for a drive, try not to accelerate hard or pass 2500/3000rpm until you've covered a distance of 7kms, by then the oil would be adequately warmed up........

Guys in the states and Canada park their cars for over 5 months due to cold weather. They start them every so often just to give them a little run in, but 2 months should not be a problem.

I started my quad today after 10months of standing.

Started 1st time, I also decided to give it a full service myself which was last done sometime in 2010.

Look it's not a BMW 330 but only a 660 Raptor, flip the oil was actually damn clean, no sludge at all. So 2 months shouldn't be an issue at all.

We have 3 cars down at our holiday house, they sit between 6 to 12 months between use. The biggest issue is keeping the batteries charged. We keep them on intelligent chargers. Then we get them serviced every 12 to 24 months depending on usage, which is between 500 to 2000kms depending who goes down and which car they use. Our Pajero has been used like this since we got it in 1999 with 223000kms on it. Now on 255000. And it's still going strong. Starts every time.
