E46 318i oxygen sensor

Does anyone know where I can get an oxygen sensor for a 2004 E46 318i.
I am preferably looking for a place that will be able to provide me with the sensor and fit it in for me. Somewhere in and around cape town, as I currently reside in Rondebosch.
I've been to the BMW dealership, but the prices they are quoting me are ridiculous.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Has the sensor actually been diagnosed as faulty or is your car just mis-behaving?

If it hasnt been diagnosed as broken then I would recommend you grab a can of MAF Cleaner and give it a good spray...

Both my golf and friends Polo TDI gave MAF issues and R3000 quotes to replace... Quick spray and they were fixed.

Diesel Electric. R1425 delivered to your door. It is the same Bosch part that the dealer sells, just rebadged.
Well that was last year when I bought one.
Any exhaust shop can fit it easily.

Hi ,
I just came across recently when I was in Stikland - Belville side - there's a shop called NMU spares .There's everything - but only BMW spares.

Guys name is INGOLF
There Number : 021 9489435 or 021 9490314

Hope it will help .

According to the BMW guys the sensor is gone. They didn't actually give me a print out of the test which they did for me to actually check that the sensor is broken. I will give the MAF cleaner a try though and see if that works.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that I would have to take it to a bmw specialist to get the part installed. Didn't know that it could be done at an exhaust shop.

I'll be sure to look up these diesel electric guys and find out how much they charge for one of the sensors. If what you say is true then I'm sure the exhaust guys won't kill me with a hectic price just to install the part.

Can you perharps tell me where I might be able to find this MAF cleaner, because I've been looking around over the weekend and I've had no luck finding the stuff.
