E39 Appreciation Thread

RAArmstrong - you me must be some of the few guys with MANUAL e39 530d's. mine however as slightly more miles than yours... 278500km...
once my car is run in (she did under 500km in 2 years) i wanna dyno
see if she still has all her horses.

whats your consumption like? if i drive way faster than i should i get around 8.1litre/100.... this last tank had 1litre of liqui moly diesel purge in and it went up to 8.8l/100.

On the open road I've seen as low as 5.6/100... This was a mostly downhill run to Durban... My last trip to Joburg was around 6.7 or so I think... In town I see around 8-8.5 :thumbs:

The E39 kidneys have 10 slats though.
