Yesterday I did a 400km trip with my uncles e39 528i auto and I understand why people love these cars. On the open road she was going smoothly, bumps and rough tar surfaces that would normally be felt with any other car, this e39 soaked it up with pleasure and that m52 motor was more then capable of carrying 5 people with luggage.

How many of you actually use their e39's as daily drivers, in traffic to work and back?

Considering trading my e36 328i for a e39 528i or 530d.

I use my 530d every day...

In traffic I get around 9L/100 :thumbs:

I haven't been visiting the forum as much as I need to these days! Great to see this thread!

I love my E39! 528i manual, with the facelift treatment and style 5 wheels.

I have been driving mine every day since 2005! It is still as amazing after all these years!
