To those fellow Fantics who are privileged enough to drive the Manual E39 540, I have a question.
When at normal operating temperature, what is your "come to a stop" idle like?
When I cruise to a traffic light / stop street, I have been keeping an eye on the volume indicator and notice that as I come to a stop in neutral (or clutch in) the initial settle point is around 800-850 RPM. Then after a few seconds (about 5-6s) the revs drop to around 550-600, and stays there. Is this normal behaviour?
