E38 Centre Console Removal

Hi,I have a 2000 740i with a tape(yes tape)stuck in the deck.Does anybody know how to remove the centre console so that I could get to the mechanism to remove it ?

It's not that I care about the tape,I hate having the thing showing like that and also having something that is not operational.
