Hi folks

I'm looking at servicing my e36 (316i) myself and was wondering where I could get hold of the BMW service list (items that get replaced at set milage)?

Also, would you recommend against using generic (midas etc) parts?

Thanks again,
J

There is a list in the service book . I could scan it next week , it gives each service eg oil , inspection I and II .
I find oil and air filters from the dealer are sometimes cheaper than midas . I may wear my fanatics cap - gets me 15 % discount at dealer !!!!
Good luck .

Hi there - just got first BMW - also a e36

That is exactly what I been looking for - I must say, didn't see the list in the service book, but also wasn't looking all that well.

If possible, can you mail me: [email protected]

Thanks

Hey there - no I didn't... But going to try a few workshops here in Durban to see what preventative maintenance needs to be done when. Few cosmetic things I need sorting and then there is a casette stuck in the radio (sigh)... Cars - can't live with them can't live without them!

I'm also interested in this for a 1996 316i.

I'd also like to know where I can get parts, East Rand or Jhb.

guys try Justify , I did send the pages to him . Good luck .

there are write ups on the need by pelican parts, showing you how to replace oil, front brakes etc on an e30 and e36 if you want to do some diy.

for spares you can also try bemow spares 0123276294, pretoria west.

I couldn't find the service list, though.
