We are at R75k in parts alone and he isn't willing to spend any more...for now.

I think he would have been better of in just ripping the motor out and putting a new one in.

I haven't opened the motor yet, I pulled the sump to see the "forged internals" which ended up being stock internals with custom small end bushes to drop compression slightly...
Ryan is regretting buying a car without looking at it first, believe me...He won't be making that mistake again Im sure...

I kinda feel sorry for the owner, firstly he did get swindled with the car and imagine having to spend all this money on top of the purchase price and knowing there is still more left to do and get done ( and at what cost )

From what I have heard a turbo conversion is around R50k - R100k. Which makes this the most expensive E36 ever?

I am the owner of this mess of a car.
All I can say to Warren is thank you for the hard hours and dedication to a car that isn't even of his own doing.

The total cost to date:
- the car - R135 000, some initial work by local tuners - R27 500 (not going to mention names), new tires - R12 600, various forms of shipping and towing costs, R6 800.
That's a total of R182 000, now with the R75 000, I've spent with Gizmo, that's a whopping R257 000, for a car that is insured for
R84 300.

The previous owner is some where on this forum, I hope he can live with the lies he told to sell this car.........all I can say is Karma is a B$TCH
