Can the clutch play an issue in the loss of power?
Reason being is last night i approached a robot and next to me was a golf 6 gti that i raced before. So i figure it would be the perfect opportunity to see if the car is under performing and by how much
So with the engine not fully warmed up, i launch and when i change into 2nd the rev's don't drop but continue until it limits. I change into 3 and the same story
I stop at the next robot and try again but the same story but by know i can smell the clutch. There was very low pressure in the clutch. I left it to cool off for about 45min and then took a very slow drive home. The pressure has increased though.
I started the car this morning and it seems fine. There was a clutch smell when i opened the bonnet, Not sure if its still from last night
Could this mean my clutch or the booster is gone and could driving the car when its not hot be the cause?
