so i have removed my passenger seat and can confirm that the white plastic gear that operates the reclining function in the seat is broken. i wanted to know if anyone here maybe has one spare that they would like to sell or perhaps someone can point me in the right direction as to where i may be able to aquire this gear locally perhaps?

any info would be much appreciated

stripping the parts and getting to the actual problem is not a mission at all, it basically requires that you unbolt the seat so that you have access to the underside of the seat where the motors are located. I just undid the bolts and disconnected the wires and then flipped my seat forward to get better access, i didn't even take the seat out of my car, one thing i can say is that the seat weights a ton!

Never would have thought they are that heavy, was actually quite surprised. The hard part is sourcing the part that requires replacing. its just a tiny plastic gear that broke. On mine its only the one tooth that's broken, the rest of the gear is intact but sourcing these gears locally are proving to be a bitch :argh:

If you manage to sought out your seat then please let me know where you got your gear from.

Hey guys any one of you guys get the part? I need one for my driver seat as well... the motor works but the back rest does not move(recline back and forward) anymore... i can only move the whole seat back and forth or up and down.
