E36 328 Heater not working

I tried to use the heater in my car and nothing happened, just blows out cold air. Any ideas ?

There was a thread quite a long time ago with the same problem. If I remember correctly, the guy used a hammer & gave that exchange valve a good knock....

There is a heater valve on the passenger side at the back of the engine bay .You either have a voltage problem - check voltage as someone works the heater control from closed to full open , or the vale is stuffed . You can take the pipes off and pull it out ( its tight in the mounting ) and clean it . Good luck . Stealers price ? IIRC about R2K !!

Okie Slight update. Last night I started tapping the two solenoids on the heater valve with a screw driver. It is a bit better not not 100 % yet. This weekend I will try to remove it and clean it out
