E36 325i Engine Oil??

Hi guys,

I have an e36 325i single vanos. The car has 290k km on the clock. I have always used Shell Helix full synthetic 10w-40 oil, but a few people have been advising otherwise.

So what mileages are your E36s doing and what oils are you using in them?

Dont change your oil that's perfect

Agreed, nothing wrong with the oil your currently using

If you really want, look into the correct oil grade offering from Motul.
I have serviced 4 of my regular vehicles with Motul and the engines love it.


None are performance vehicles, but I can tel you they are all running smoother since.
