So I have been looking out for a 325/328... I have found a 325i that I like, but it has been converted from auto to manual. It has a gearbox from an m3 3.0l 328ZF. Also branches from 3.0 m3. the rest of the car is stock. Can anybody tell me how this will affect fuel consumption, and on highway driving? Won't the revs be higher than usual?

With my experienced knowledge. I would say the consumption would be lower because 1) Manual and 2) no cats in the manifold.

Thanks for the replies guys. The car in question seems to be in great condition for its age.

It has a full m3 kit and m3 wheels, high polished.
57mm exhaust
m3 exhaust manifold.
Harmon Kardon rear speakers from an e46.
The owner says its all original parts.
Clutch recently done.
short throw gear linkages
The interior is black leather and in very nice condition.
Just the leather on the front doors have started to pull away from the mouldings.

The sunroof seems to be missing a panel, so it shows black metal, from inside the car.
The aircon works, but it makes noise. Like a long sharp noise (I don't know how to explain. If you turn the blower off, and back on again, it goes away, then comes back.

Rear windows do not work, owner says switches are faulty. It also needs the button for the drivers window switch, and the black panel under the wipers are broken and needs replacing.

rear tyres need replacing. Looks good from the outer side, but the inners are bald (is this normal on this car? suspension is standard)

Price: 55k, not negotiable. He will replace the rear tyres. Does this sound too much?

For that kind of money you can find some 2002 E46 318 models with under 200000km
The problem you must shop around
