So I recently purchased a e36 316i and it needed some tlc
Got the project rolling to get the car back into shape again,
Small things needed for the car but I would say 90% there
One issue I came across is the fan only comes on when the car is stopped and switched off and it's runs for like 2-5 min and goes off
They had a temp switch wired to a pipe that connects to the thermostat pipe, and it was connected to direct power from the positive terminal and then to the electric fan.
I have removed the cooling system to clean and flush out everything but got a temp switch for the side of the radiator again. But also looking for the original 3 wire plug which I can't find.
I did find a similar plug loose close to the blower motor that has yellow wires on it but wires run to the fuse box
Any help with a layman's wiring diagram to find the wiring for the oem wiring?
There is x2 brown wires cut close to the temp switch by the radiator not sure if that's the right ones
Any help appreciated
